The ecosystem features a life-size needle felted carolina wren and two chicks in a wool and lichen nest eagerly waiting for their meal. Realism is enhanced with the addition of natural pinecones & twigs, a needle felted violet damselfly, and two needle felted ladybugs—all brought into harmony with a needle felted vine of english ivy. The ensemble rests in handmade painted pottery planter made to be hung on a wall. The planter was made in Eastham, Massachusetts by potters , Pete and Roberta Bonalumi, in their studio, Good Light Pottery. It is signed by the potter and Heather. The planter measures 8 inches in diameter and three inches deep. To be hung indoors only.
