This rustic style needle felted hen has some very special features. Deep inside it’s wool core where it cannot be seen, is a smooth tumbled beach stone from a nearby beach that gives it a nice, stable weight for it’s size (about 14 ounces). The top coat is predominately a coarse Romanov wool from Germany with short guard fibers. The tail and breast area have lustrous silvery grey locks. The wing tips are accented with strong Karakul locks. The beak and eyes are also wool. It measures 12 inches from beak to tail tip and 8 inches to the top of the comb.
