One of seven in the limited Leaping Series. This needle felted sculpture captures the speed and agility of the cottontail as it bounds through the thicket.

The piece is made from a custom blend of wool, alpaca, and silk fibers and is built over a wire armature. The whiskers are horsehair. The rabbit is supported on a copper wire fixed to a base a fragrant live-edge red cedar. It is 8 inches from tall to the ear tip, including the base. It is 8 inches long from front to back paws. The cedar base is approximately 3.5 inch in diameter and 1 inch thick. Signed on base underside.
