A barn owl soars across the celestial night sky illuminated by the light of a silvery full moon.

This shadowbox was inspired by the sturdy old wood box found in a Vermont antiques shop and it’s original rich cerulean blue paint. The box measures 7 5/8 inches wide, 6 5/8 inches tall, and 3 inches deep. The needle felted barn owl is discreetly suspended from behind. The owl is built over a wire armature and has a solid wool core. The eyes are glass beads and the beak is natural stone bead. The box interior has the original cerulean blue paint with the addition of acrylic and oil pastels to create a celestial sky. Signed.
