This antique spool is handsome with its aged wood and metal ends. A cluster of five needle felted mushrooms appear to grow from it, creating an ethereal scene. The central three mushroom have silk velvet caps the color of yellow curry and are adorned with embroidered French knots. The two side mushrooms also have silk velvet caps and are the color of green curry. Each mushroom is built over a wire armature and have a solid wool core. The stems have a top-coat of needlefelted Corriedale wool. Dyed sheep locks, a needle felted acorn, and a tiny ribbon of tinsel complete the piece. The spool is 6 inches long. The overall piece is 5.5 inches tall.
