This humble and realistic needle felted mouse is very special. Heather recently had her portrait taken by Minneapolis photographer, Shelly Mosman, and included this piece (seen in photo atop the coyote).

The mouse is built over a wire armature and has a solid wool core. The top coat is a custom blend of silk, alpaca, and merino. The top coat was applied in small tufts in a layered array and sculpted with scissors and felting needles. This time consuming process create a more realistic pelt, or fur. The eyes are wool. The whiskers are horsehair. The feet and toes are wire wrapped with pale pink silk and finished with beeswax. It measures 2 inches tall at the ear tips and the body (excluding tail) is 5 inches.

This is not a toy. Keep out of reach of young children and pets. Avoid display in direct sunlight.
