This life-size needle felted grey squirrel is built over a wire armature and has a solid wool core. The top coat, or fur, is a custom blend of fiber including yak, silk, merino, corriedale, and alpaca. Hundreds of tiny tufts of the top coat were applied in a layered array and trimmed/sculpted with scissors, razors, and felting needles. The tiny toes are wire wrapped with wool. The claws are wire and beeswax. The underside of the feet even include tiny toe pads. The eyes are wool with a hint of reflective sparkle. The acorn cap is real with a felted nut. The whiskers are horsehair. There are even two tiny lower incisors in the open mouth to add realism. Measures 7.5 inches tall and 10 inches from nose to tail tip.
This is not a toy. Keep out of reach of young children and pets. Avoid display in direct sunlight.
