Found in Antarctica, the emperor penguin is the largest of all penguin species. The males and females are similar in size, standing at about four feet tall and weighing between fifty and one hundred pounds.

These needle felted penguins are made from 100% wool and built over a wire armature. The feet are made from wire individually wrapped with wool and finished with beeswax. The adults are 4 inches tall, and the chick is 2 inches tall. The two pieces of selenite crystal shown in the photos are included to serve as pedestals for the trio.
