Heather picked this antique collar bag from an estate in beautiful Francestown, New Hampshire. When new in the early 1900’s, this soft leather drawstring bag was used to store mens collars, fashionable for the era. When found in the c1830 home, it appears to have been used for many years as a satchel for sewing supplies including thread, needles, a thimble, and other small ephemera.
This listing includes the bag and sewing supplies shown. The bag measures 7 inches diameter. The overall height with soft drawstring top is 4 inches. It is lined with original beige cotton twill. Photos accurately show wear and age.
